As social issue

Why we select this topic? Because human life is very precious. And we think the issue need to be discuss. To create awareness that suicide is not a solution of any problem. To give the feeling that life very beautiful and full of surprises.

What is suicide? Suicide is the act of taking one's own life on purpose. Suicidal behavior is any action that could cause a person to die.

How people commit suicide Hanging Gun shot Drowning Drug overdose Electric shock Using poison

why a person commits suicide? Usually people commit suicide; Domestic violence Academic pressure Loneliness Lose of value relationship Low self esteem Mental illness

What is domestic violence ? violent or aggressive behavior within the home, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner. Violence among family members.

When domestic violence occurs ? Domestic violence occurs when a current or former intimate partner exerts dominance and control in a relationship through physical, sexual, or psychological-emotional abuse, resulting in physical or emotional trauma to the victim. Other forms of domestic violence include stalking and dating violence.

Negative feeling which lead to suicide Think it's your fault. Feel angry, sad, lonely, depressed, or confused. Feel helpless to stop the abuse. Feel threatened or humiliated. Feel anxious. Not know what might happen next. Feel like you can't talk to family and friends. Be afraid of getting hurt more seriously. Such feelings cause suicide

Other causes of suicide in teenagers We suicidal cases in age group from 14to26.suicidal cases also occur in upper ages but it lesser than teenagers. Causes Loneliness - developing into the all-consuming feeling that there is no-one there and that no-one really cares or will notice whether they live or die. The suicidal person can feel totally alone and isolated.

Academic pressure Financial problems Too much expectation

Feelings of hopelessness and helplessness where the person feels that no matter what s/he does, nothing seems to get better, and that no-one is able to help. Feelings of worthlessness, of being 'a waste of space' - s/he will never amount to anything, and that any care, interest, or encouragement shown would be unjustified or based on a false premise. Convinced they are not worth caring about, such people are likely to have very low self-esteem, and to not readily accept compliments or praise.

Depression in those who are clinically depressed, their perceptions of themselves, others and their situation are usually unduly negative. Many of the above feelings are not only common but are also felt to be unquestionably true. Although observers may be clearly aware of the depressed person's talents, achievements, and of others who care deeply about them, it is their internal perceptions that need to be taken into account.

Love relationship and educational goals Plans falling through - especially where the goals have considerable personal importance - e.g. not settling well at university. The break-up of an important relationship, or a student not achieving her/his academic goals. As a result the student can feel inadequate, a failure, ashamed, unlovable

Anger - suicide can sometimes be seen as the act of someone who is very angry, perhaps even as an act of revenge, (for example after the ending of a relationship) Parents public comments on failure. Discussing failure over and over again /sarcastic behavior of parents. Lack of literacy High amount of money to end marriage or engagement. Threat from parent to daughter what ever situation will happen in –laws you have to stay there. if you couldn’t don’t comeback instead giving positive thought.

Our responsibility Ask. Asking if a person feels suicidal is very unlikely to put the idea into their head, and they may feel relieved to talk. Listen. what he or she says seriously, and try to understand their perspective of the situation. This may be able to tell you what they need and who might help Discuss. Try to discover what might make a difference without imposing your solutions on the situation.
