IT IS 2110 Class #11

 No formal class 10/05  Cyber Security Symposium  Informal class at the Symposium  No attendance

 6 Total Pages  Cover +5 test pages  Check for all pages!  Make sure you do all pages!  No electronic devices!  Laptops, Headphones, Cell Phones, MP3s, Calculators, etc.  Name on cover and 1 st page  Answer “all” questions!  You might get lucky  Spread out  When you leave the room you are done!  Write legibly!  Use T and F (capitals) for true/false  Multiple choice  Circles the letter only  Choose the BEST answer  If I can’t easily read the answer it will not get credit  If you need more room:  Write on back of the page  Clearly indicate where the answer is continued  Should have test back next class

 100 pts  15 – T/F worth 1 pt each  10 – Multiple choice worth 2 pt each ▪ Circle the letter of the best answer ▪ Do not write in the columns!  10 – Fill in the Blank worth 2 pt each  5 – Best match - 1 pt each ▪ Use the letters, lines will not be followed  5 – Short Answer worth 4 pts each  1 – Essay worth 20 pts  2 – Bonus ▪ 1 point each ▪ First: all must be correct for credit

 Opening paragraph  Ask question to be answered  State a thesis to be substantiated  Support paragraph(s)  1 or more paragraphs supporting your opening paragraph  Closing paragraph  Restate what you have just argued  ¶ is your friend, use it if sloppy on starting new paragraphs

 Large numbers may be answered approximately  Match the precision to the approximation ▪ 2,194,321 may be answered as about 2 million 0r about 2.2 million ▪ 2.1 or 2½ million is too far off  If you put down an precise number it must be exact  Small numbers must be exact  2 5 is 32, not about 30  How many fingers (excluding thumbs) ▪ Is 8, not about 10  Cut-off is 2 8 (256)

 Do T/F, Multiple Choice and Match first  Quick scan the Fill in the Blank and Short Answer questions  Write the Essay  Return and answer the Fill in the Blank and Short Answer  Review answers in remaining time  Trust your gut, but check the question carefully ▪ Did you answer the actual question or what you thought you read  Monitor your time  Test done at 3:15pm ▪ ~ 1hr  I will have the clock up and give occasional reports on remaining time
