Fred Fiedler  Fred Edward Fiedler (born July 13, 1922)  1938 emigrated from Austria (Vienna) to USA  Studied : University of Chicago (MSc.) in psychology & (Ph.D.) clinical psychology  Researcher: industrial and Organizational psychology 

Contingency Theories  Was in 1967 by Freid Fieldler  The theory states that “there is no one best style of leadership. Instead a leader’s effectiveness is based on the situation  both task & relationship oriented leaders canbe affective if placed correct situation  Leadership style  Fiedler believed that leadership style is fixed, and it can be measured using a scale he developed called Least-Preferred Co-Workers (LPC) Scale
