Fig 1 Serum 25(OH)D status in relation to atopic dermatitis (AD) severity (patients with difficult to treat AD and patients with an adequate response to topical corticosteroids). Distribution of serum 25(OH)D status was statistically significantly different between patients with difficult to treat AD and patients with an adequate response to topical corticosteroids (P = .031). Patients with difficult to treat AD had a higher risk of 25(OH)D deficiency versus patients with an adequate response to topical corticosteroids (OR 2.17; 95% CI 1.21-3.88). The OR adjusted for age, sex, and season at blood sampling was 1.92 (95% CI 1.01-3.66).
