Center for Advanced Materials and Devices in ICTs (CEMDATIC) Microsystems and Electronic Materials Group (GMME) Applied Photonics Group (GFA) 42 members 28 PhD Optical and Magnetic Materials properties and their Applications Gruoup (POEMMA) Objective: new materials development for ICT applications and their integration in new devices Currently developing ceramic materials, acousto-optic and ferroelectric devices, piezoelectric materials for sensors and filters, configurable dielectric materials for RF, RF signal control laser and optic devices, high brightness and high speed semiconductor lasers

Some Figures More than 500 active research projects (131 international) 510 researchers & 248 faculty members. 76 PhD theses (15-16) Publications: nearly 400 JCRs (average annual value 2011-15) More than 160 patents since 2000 20-25% of UPM funds in research projects (more than 16 M€ in 2015). [UPM: 1st Spanish Univ. (3rd Organization) in R&D FP7 funding (2007-13) with 82 M€: 18.5 M€ come from ETSIT] More than 500 active agreements with industry partners.
