College Application Process WHAT TO DO NOW Narrow your list of schools Obtain applications on line and follow their procedures, especially for deadlines Use the Common Application if possible Make a master list of deadlines Begin completing your applications Work from a rough paper draft

College Application Process How to Obtain a transcript and counselor recommendation Step 1 In the Naviance Program Enter ALL colleges in the section: “Colleges I’m Applying to” Complete the self-evaluation and resume

Step 2: Ask for teacher feedback Teacher Feedback Forms (blue) Teacher Recommendations Any three teachers Your top teachers Submitted to counseling office by teachers. Your subject areas of interest SENT DIRECTLY TO COLLEGE USED BY COUNSELORS sample sample You can also ask coaches or club sponsors Submitted either electronically by your teachers or by letter

College Application Process How to Obtain a teacher recommendation We encourage students to approach teachers in person when asking for a recommendation. Follow-up with an email request through the Naviance Program Follow the Senior Year Checklist
