First Nine Weeks Math Standards MGSEK.CC.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens. MGSEK.CC.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1). MGSEK.CC.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects). MGSEK.CC.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality. MGSEK.CC.5 Count to answer ‘how many?” questions. MGSEK.CC.6 Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies. ELAGSEKRL6: With prompting and support, name the author and illustrator of a story and define the role of each in telling the story. ELACCKRI5: Identify the front, back cover, and title page of a book. Language: ELAGSEKL1: Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. a. Print many upper- and lowercase letters. b.Recognize and name end punctuation (. ? !) ELAGSEKRF2: Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). a. Recognize and produce rhyming words. ELAGSEKW3: Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to narrate a single event or several loosely linked events, tell about the events in the order in which they occurred, and provide a reaction to what happened.
