Substitute Care There are many types of substitute child care. Two general settings include home-based care and center-based care. Section 22.2 Participating in Early Childhood Education Early childhood classrooms should provide a safe and healthy environment for children. Classrooms should promote positive behavior and plan lessons and activities.
