ITALY: 2000 YEARS OF STAMPS!

My country history starts under the greatest population ever: ROMANS!

For 18 centuries it was divided in small kingdoms…

…But in 1861, a man called Giuseppe Garibaldi and his Italian soldiers, fought for the union of the Italian Kingdom!

Tanks also to these men, we are a united country from 150 years!

In 1925 the leader of National Fascist party, Benito Mussolini, set up a dictatorship that ruled the country until 1943. Under him, Italy joined the World War II, supporting Hitler.

After 19 year, Italians finally could vote democratucally After 19 year, Italians finally could vote democratucally. In 1946 was born the Italian Costitutional Republic!

In 1955 Italy has joined United Nations

And in 1957, we became part of European Union!

WE HAVE SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITIES IN THE WORLD!!!!!!
