Objectives at a glance Started in session 2008–09, the objective were : To develop a technical skill among the students. To tone up our students to meet the challenges of out side world through “I .T.” To equip our students with a professional “Certification” along with their regular “Degree”.

Computer Centre: Infrastructure at a glance Our computer center is well supported and equipped with all the required amenities. We have separate Theory class room and Computer Laboratory. Computer Laboratory : A vast computer lab has been setup having 30 Computers including Server all networked (LAN), well configured and compatible to run all the latest programs and software. Computers at our administrative office. High speed WI-FI Internet connection. One high capacity generator set to support the Lab and Admin. On-Line UPS to provide back-up in case of power break down. Provision of LCD Projector.

Under Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (U. G. D. C. A.) As per the recommendations of 11th Plan of U.G.C, we started an Under Graduate Diploma program of B. H. U. (U. G. D. C. A.) in session 2008 – 2009. The objective of this curriculum is to generate the high-end computer awareness among the students and to bring them up in the main stream of the professional world.

Duties towards society We at D. A. V. P. G. College computer center strongly understand that we have some responsibilities towards society for its betterment. In this connection our Principal Dr. S. D. Singh took the initiative and instructed us to design a 45 days On-line police training schedule. With the consent of D.I.G of Police - Varanasi, we imparted the knowledge of Computer Application & Internet to police personals from almost all the Police Stations of district Varanasi.

Computek Fest: A grand event of competition, based on computer knowledge is organized periodically at our college for the students of UGDCA where all the students are free to participate and build their confidence along with having fun and festivity. Grand Prizes Like Laptop, Desktop, Smart Phone etc. are given to the winners.

Computek Fest: Aim & Objectives To spread awareness of Information Technology among the students. To build a confidence level to develop healthy competitive skills. To prepare students for fast growing technocrat era. To give a corporate exposure. To have fun and interesting get-together.

Software Development: At our computer center we don’t have to look here and there for application software for our own requirements. To meet the purpose, our Faculty Members has developed: Web Development Student’s Enrollment and Batch Allotment Package

Future Plan: On invitation from U.G.C, we have submitted a proposal of an innovative program “Post Graduate Diploma in Commercial Affairs (PGDCA)”. This program will not only add another feather in our cap rather will produce more competent managers to the industry, having the knowledge of application of computers in trade and commerce.
