KIA Motors Final Project Shaikh Zaid Saeed 200800653

Executive Summary Where my university career almost going to be over, I believe every student must take an internship for long period of time. From the very beginning I was interested to work in some multinational company and that should be related to my major in finance. This report will summarize my trip of six weeks internship at KIA motors in Khobar Dammam highway.

Acknowledgment After spending an amazing three years of studying in PMU, meeting with the very experienced professors, and great friends which I spend the greatest time in my life. Where I m ready for my graduating, my new trip is going to begin

Introduction As I m a senior student in Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad University, my university requires as a two months of internship that will helps us gaining skills, knowledge and the social communication in outside of the university. In this report there are many topics which will be covered starting with the background of the company where the internship program was done, SWOT analysis, organizational marketing strategy, organizational competitive strategy, job history, technical part analysis, evaluation of the experience as a whole, and finally a summary of the results and proposal of my experience.

History of Kia Motors Corporation Kia Motors Corporation grew from humble beginnings as a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycles during the 1940s and '50s. According to Kia Motors, the name "Kia" derives from the Sino-Korean words ki ("to come out") and a (which stands for Asia), it is roughly translated as "arise or come up out of Asia" or "rising out of Asia".

Overseas Expansion in the 1980s Chun's overall economic strategy was generally successful, despite citizens' growing displeasure with South Korea's authoritative, centralized political and economic structure. A major breakthrough for Kia occurred in 1987, however, when it started shipping automobiles to the largest single international car market, the United States.

SWOT Analysis Strength Weakness Opportunities Threats

Organizational Marketing Strategy Automotive brands complete to create a brand image that’s larger just than the automotive market. While it’s common to see brand messages from several automotive companies at sporting events, Kia Motors has set themselves apart from the others.

Organizational Competitive Strategy It is really difficult for Kia Motors competing with other motor companies around the world because of very large numbers motor companies all over the world. The most important goal in Kia motors is giving very low interest rate to all customers.

Technical Part As my major is finance, I was doing my training in finance and accounting department of Kia Motors. During these periods of weeks I got to learned many things related to finance and accounting. This calculator does the work automatically. We just have to adjust the numbers of cost of vehicle, down payment and interest rate.

Evaluation of the internship experience I believe overall my experience with Kia Motors was amazing and very helpful. Doing my internship in Kia Motors helped me in improving in many skills. Whoever gets this kind of a experience at their internship, he/she should be very grateful and thankful because it can really helps us to see a clear vision.

Summary of findings and recommendations At the end after completing the internship course, I believe that finance is a very important major in each and every kind of a organization. Whatever work I have done in Kia Motors was very important for my career.

Conclusion In conclusion, I would like to say that Kia Motors is one of the biggest organizations in all over the world. At the end, whatever I learned in my internship could never been thought in classes.
