Create a custom palette How to Use This Palette Introduction About this file and RBG values This file contains RGB values for the color palette specified in the U.S. Web Design Standards. In computer programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint, you can select one of millions of colors simply by specifying a value for the Red, Green and Blue components of the color. Hence the abbreviation RGB, and the three numbers for each color here. This palette has a lot of red, white and blue in it, since it’s intended for designing U.S. government web sites. However, this palette is also grounded in solid design, including design for accessibility and legibility. If you don’t know where to start in using color for your presentations and documents, this palette provides a well-designed starting place. For best results, stick to the primary and background colors and use the other colors sparingly. Instructions Create a custom palette To use these colors in your documents You can use Copy and Paste to move the colored objects in this file into your documents. You can use the Format Painter and Eyedropper tools to copy and apply colors and formatting: Shape and text colors You can use the RGB values in this document anywhere you’re able to enter RGB values.
