A global movement to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030 #NOhep

Achieving the elimination of viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030 globally We are now witnessing dramatic changes in the field of viral hepatitis. In May 2016, Member States adopted the first ever Global Strategy on viral hepatitis, recognizing viral hepatitis as a public health threat and expressing commitment to combating viral hepatitis to reach elimination by 2030.

Goal of NOhep Become the universal symbol for the elimination of viral hepatitis similar to how the red ribbon is used for HIV/AIDS.

What is NOhep? A global awareness raising and advocacy movement Created by the World Hepatitis Alliance in 2016 as a civil society response to WHO’s Viral Hepatitis Strategy (GHSS) Now an multi-stakeholder activity which campaigns to advance efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis Independent platform led by WHO, CDC, CEVHAP, ELPA & WHA

What does NOhep do? Unifies patients, healthcare professionals and policymakers around one common purpose Supports governments and medical professionals to drive action to eliminate viral hepatitis Inspires people to speak out and tell powerful stories of the impact of viral hepatitis Mobilises supporters across the globe Campaigns for a world where people have access to life saving interventions and do not suffer discrimination #NOhep

Whether it is in a hospital, in a clinic or a community outreach centre, everyone can do their part to spread the NOhep message.
