The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) Teachers are better able to convey their subject(s) when they can approach the material through a variety of techniques and modes.

The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) Children don't get ideas; they make ideas. Learners are particularly likely to make new ideas when they are actively engaged in making some type of external artifact – be it a robot, a poem, a sand castle, or a computer program.

The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) ALL students should be exposed to the subject of computational thinking via programming.

The WHO of the workshop Let’s play getting to know you BINGO

The WHO of the workshop Who are you? Name School Grades/subjects taught

The WHO of the workshop Show of hands How many of you have taken at least one semester of computer programming? How many of you are comfortable doing computer programming?
