The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) Teachers are better able to convey their subject(s) when they can approach the material through a variety of techniques and modes.
The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) Children don't get ideas; they make ideas. Learners are particularly likely to make new ideas when they are actively engaged in making some type of external artifact – be it a robot, a poem, a sand castle, or a computer program.
The WHY of this workshop (Dr. Schafer’s opinions) ALL students should be exposed to the subject of computational thinking via programming.
