Class/Staff Notebook vs. OneNote Notebook In a nutshell: Class/Staff Notebook is a shared Notebook with specific permissions already attached Allows the teacher/owner to share materials with students/staff members Allows students/staff to collaborate with peers Allows the teacher/owner to review individual student/staff work and provide feedback https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz_AENcK7w4

How Members Access a Class/Staff Notebook When owner shares a Class/Staff Notebook, members will receive an email with a direct link to the Notebook Members can access a Class/Staff Notebook via their Office 365 account OneNote Online tile Select Open in OneNote to access Notebook through OneNote desktop client Once saved to a member’s bookshelf within OneNote on their desktop, they will always have access to the Notebook on that device

What’s Inside a Class/Staff Notebook? Collaboration Space Content Library Individual Student/Private Notebooks

Collaboration Space A notebook for everyone to share, organize, and collaborate Everyone can make edits here (delete, add, move, etc.) Great space for group work

Content Library A read-only notebook where owners can share documents and materials with members Similar to a filing cabinet for a teacher where papers can be “passed out” Materials are read-only until they are copied into an individual Student/Private Notebook within the Class/Staff Notebook

Individual Student/Private Notebooks A private notebook shared between the owner (and any co- owners) and each individual student/member Owners and co-owners can access every individual notebook, while members can only see their own Safe place for students to turn in homework assignments, complete quizzes, and get feedback; and for teachers to turn in PLC notes, evidence and artifacts, schedules, etc.

Creating a Class/Staff Notebook You can create a Class/Staff Notebook via your Office 365 account Class or Staff Notebook tile If missing, look for it by clicking the waffle Select View all my apps BUT, it just got a whole lot easier…
