Growth Concept for Technology Integration Foundations Definition Production Integration Synthesis Students learn the foundations of educational technology and digital literacy Students define pathways for demonstrating understanding Students produce portions of a learning portfolio and new ways of showing knowledge Portfolios integrate different disciplines over time to showing interdisciplinary learning Students create a comprehensive portfolio that covers 3 years of science content. Beginning Growth Branching The Future

Growth Concept for PowerPoint 02 2nd Grade Second grade students will focus on device use as a method for skill enhancement and growth in reading and mathematics. Students will also utilize iMovie as their production app as they study social studies. Students will begin their learning in digital literacy and citizenship. Foundations

Growth Concept for PowerPoint 03 3rd Grade Students will learn a new production app that will allow them to demonstrate and record their learning each month of the year. Students will participate in digital center learning labs in science and social studies. Students will create components of a learning portfolio for 3 power standards in science. Students will continue to learn about digital literacy and citizenship. Definition

Growth Concept for PowerPoint 04 4th Grade Students will continue to use the production apps introduced and used from 3rd Grade. Students will learn collaborative apps each month throughout the year that will allow them to share their learning with one another. Students will create a learning portfolio in social studies and 3 power standards in science. Students will continue to learn about digital literacy and citizenship Production

Growth Concept for PowerPoint 0405 4th & 5th Grade Both 4th and 5th Grades will work towards building their interdisciplinary use of their personalized learning device in specialist settings. These grade levels will work with the content specialist in Art, Science and Foreign Language. 4th: Art 4th – Science 5th – Science 5th – Foreign Language Integration

Growth Concept for PowerPoint 05 5th Grade Students will create a comprehensive digital portfolio that will demonstrate their learning in science from 3rd grade through 5th grade. This portfolio will contain information from their 3rd and 4th grade science portfolio components that will be used for cumulative review for the Standards of Learning Assessment. Students will engage in higher levels of production and integration throughout the year. Synthesis

Effective Integration and Instruction Learning goals and lessons are tied directly to desired student outcomes PLC’s Effective Integration and Instruction Students Technology Co-Taught lessons and classroom support Lessons and Training with ITC

Discovery Investigation Ideation Integration Collaboration Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Knowledge Acquisition & Building Introductory concepts, procedures and ideas are presented to students directly or through discovery activities Students investigate content by researching information on the topic they are learning. Students ask questions to further their knowledge and understanding Students develop their ideas and thoughts about how to solve a problem. Students create their pathway for demonstrating their understanding Students show their mastery of content Students integrate different disciplines into their learning process. Students demonstrate their understanding through visual art, musical art and foreign language.
