Holiday Traditions Did you know that Denmark has holidays that we have like feast before fasting! It is the same thing as Mardi Gras , but in Denmark they may a way bigger dell out of it. In America not a lot of people celebrate Mardi Gras, but in Denmark almost everyone celebrates it! there the kids dress up in costumes, like Halloween. They ask for buns or money when they go to peoples doors. one day before it is lent the parents give them branches , to decorate with the things they got the days before. The morning before lent the kids wake up their snoring parents by shaking the covers like a rattlesnake shakes its rattle . They also throw costume parties where they have a piñata made of a barrel filled with candy. I wish I lived in Denmark!
