What do we do? Our primary goal is to educate members on the principles of value investing: how to find an investment, research it, value it, and pitch it. How are we different? We are the only club on campus that uses a hands-on style in order to teach these skills.

You can join our operational board in one of the following committees: Events, Corporate Sponsorship, Membership, Investing or Marketing! You can attend Investing and/or Trading Development Team Meetings!

What is the Investing Development Team? The Investing Development Team is our core educational offering for new and inexperienced investors – no prior background knowledge is necessary. It is a series of education lectures focused on business analytics, finance, and other fundamental skills with the purpose of preparing participants to apply for an investment team the following semester. It is a light time commitment and limited work is required for Dev team members. There is no application! Just a sign up.
What is the Trading Development Team? This new offering is for students potentially interested in trading! No prior knowledge is necessary. The series of lectures will cover basic macroeconomic concepts and trading strategies, including some derivatives. It is a light time commitment and limited work is required for Dev team members. Stock Market Simulation As part of our new trading initiative, we are starting a stock market simulation game that will go on all year. Everyone is allowed to compete! Regardless of your involvement in the Trading Development Team. More details about how to sign up will follow on our listserv e-mails.

Weekly GBM’s Our weekly GBM’s gives our members the opportunity to present investment ideas to one another and to learn about specific investing topics outside of their development or investing team. They contain: News about the club and future events A short educational segment on a specific sector, current event, or investing topic A stock pitch presented by a member of an investing team, followed by time for Q&A on the pitch Our GBM’s this semester will take place every Sunday at 3 PM in F85 starting next Sunday, September 18th!
Events we host Stock Pitch Competitions: We annually host several stock pitch competitions including Putnam, Dodge and Cox, Fairholme, and Samlyn. Everyone is allowed to participate Information Sessions: We host info sessions for many companies every year. Coming up: PJT Partners this Wednesday, Silver Point on September 20th, and Silver Lake on September 29th! Check your e-mail for more details about the events. Value Investor Speaker Series We periodically have investors come and speak to our members to provide real- world perspective on value investing. We have a few planned so far for this semester, look out for listserv e-mails about them!
WITG Women WITG Women strives to create a strong network of female investors within the club by fostering mentorships and creating targeted events. This Tuesday, September 13th, we will be having a WITG Women Meet and Greet, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet operations board members and portfolio managers! It will be at 7 PM in JMHH 345. All are welcome and food will be served.

Recruiting timeline: Applications are due at 11:59 PM on Friday, September 16th If you are chosen for an interview, you will be told by Monday, September 19th and they will be held through out that week Final teams will be announced by September 25th
