PORTERVILLE MANUFACTURING FACILITY In August, 2016, GreenPower closed the acquisition of 9.3 acre property in Porterville. GreenPower has submitted the site and floor plans and is working on the permit application to the City of Porterville for a manufacturing facility for its all-electric buses. The preliminary plans are for a U-shaped manufacturing facility for approximately 150,000 square feet including office space.

GREATER VICTORIA HARBOR AUTHORITY On November 30, 2015, GreenPower announced the deployment of an all electric double decker bus for a pilot project with the GVHA in Victoria, Canada. The pilot program will evaluate the feasibility for a fully electric bus transportation system for GVHA’s cruise ship terminal. GVHA currently operates 60 buses, a portion of which are double decker transit buses. The City of Victoria and the GVHA have a mandate to reduce noise levels and GHG emissions for operators at the cruise ship terminal.

California Air Resources Board Approvals On January 13, 2016, the 2016 model year of GreenPower’s EV350 all-electric 40-foot transit bus was approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as a zero-emission heavy duty vehicle with a gross weight rating of above 14,000 lbs. GreenPowers EV 350 and EV 550 are eligible under CARB’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) for Voucher Amounts of $95,000 per bus with $15,000 additional in the disadvantaged communities.

STATE OF WASHINGTON ELECTRIC BUS CONTRACT GreenPower was awarded six categories:        30 Foot Plug-In Electric         35 Foot Plug-In Electric         40 Foot Plug-In Electric  45 Foot Plug-In Electric  60 Foot Plug-In Electric  45 Foot High Floor Electric GreenPower received its first sale under this contract: EV250, 30’ all- electric transit bus to Twin Transit Agency. On November 4, 2014, The State of Washington issued the first bid by a state which included all-electric buses. Contract #09214 for Heavy duty buses which included Electric plug-in, Electric en-route, Diesel, CNG, and Hybrid Electric was awarded on July 24, 2015. The original solicitation for Bid #09214 states that over the term of the contract for all 32 categories including the 6 above, it is estimated that the contract could reach up to 800 buses at approximately $480 million dollars.
