Entry All situations where the puck is carried across the blue line into the zone that results in an attempt at the net. Screens Situation where one or more players from either team disrupts the goaltenders vision as the puck travels to the net. Fight to find puck – high or low If possible look short side Leave feet as much as possible in shot lane If in doubt Protect the Net

Deflections A shot where the puck changes direction because of impacting a stick or player prior to reaching the net. If possible get tight to potential tip Leave stick in middle Avoid chasing puck and opening up 5 hole Original wide shots have to come back to net to score

Rebounds (recovery) Second chance to score off an original shot or attempt at the net. Have time, position no time, out of position Eyes 1st find puck Nothing under nothing thru (seal) Active hands with time, no time block If in doubt get something in the middle
