Sustainable Human Resource Management in EWA

According to the United Nation’s 1987 Report of the World Commission on Environment and Development: Sustainability is a balancing act; it meets the needs of the present without compromising the well-being of future generations.

EWA recognizes and values the importance of human capital development in enhancing knowledge and competencies, as it is a key factor in driving business competitiveness towards the organization’s vision and mission.

During the1980’s, EWA had a workforce of approx During the1980’s, EWA had a workforce of approx. 3,500 employees responsible for a power capacity of less than 600 MW of electricity and 18 Million gallons of water per day Today, approx. the same number of employees manage more than 3,700 MW of electricity and more than 290 Million gallons of water per day.

Within EWA, training covers various learning aspects such as; Personal learning Small group learning, and Competency in the workplace learning Training Section is responsible for driving knowledge management though people, process and technology management and upgrading and sharing best practices for excellence within EWA.
