Welcome! General overview Things you need to know Opportunities for Artist & Organizations (OPPArt) & Fellowships GoArts application system Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

Four (4) Individual Artist Grant Programs Supply Professional Development Performing Artist Travel The Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson Memorial Fund for Research & Development Applicants must be creative artists who work in the City of Columbus and have for at least one (1) year prior to date of application; or a resident of Franklin County and have been for at least one (1) year prior to date of application. Artists who are enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting program of any kind at the time of application or during the grant period are not eligible to apply under any category. Artists working full time as teaching staff of a college or university are ONLY eligible to apply for the Supply Grant. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

Grant amounts (Requests cannot exceed) $500 $1,000 $1,500 Supply Grant Professional Development Grant Performing Artist Travel Grant Research & Development Grant Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

Grant Application Deadlines All Artist in the Community (AITC) Grants open and close the first Monday of the month. Grants are “first come first serve”. All grants are distributed until funds run out. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

Things to remember… The Grants & Services team offers draft reviews up to two (2) weeks before the deadline. Even though grants open monthly, the award process usually takes three (3) months; you will hear about the grant decision by the end of the following month. Applications close at 5pm sharp on the deadline. If your applications and all materials are not submitted on time, it will be declined. *For example: January applications will be awarded at the end of February and paid out in March. Be mindful of the grant award timeline when thinking about your project… Your grant activity (project you want to work on) cannot occur before the grant date. In this example, that means your project cannot occur before March 15th. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

More things to remember… NO paper applications/proposals or supplemental materials are accepted via email, mail or if they are dropped off at the office. All application materials MUST be submitted along with your application by the deadline. NO exceptions. If all required materials are not included with your application, it will be denied. Likewise, if you are awarded the grant, NO final report supplemental materials will be accepted by the office. You must scan and upload all materials on your own. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

And furthermore… Artists can apply for two (2) Grants per calendar year in separate categories. {Keep your receipts if you are awarded the supply grant! You’ll need them for your final report.} Make sure your contact information on your GoArts account is correct. You can update it on your own. Remember to thank Mayor Andrew Ginther and the City of Columbus via social media if you are awarded a grant. Screenshot and keep this as well. You’ll need it! Other notes… Artists who are enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting program of any kind at the time of application or during the grant period are not eligible to apply under any category. Artists working as full-time teaching staff at a college or university are only eligible to apply for the Supply Grant. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com

Remember: if you receive a grant and do not submit a final report, your account will be suspended and you will be ineligible to apply for other grants from the arts council. Goarts.gcaconline.com ColumbusMakesArt.com
