Graduation Requirements English 4 - CREDITS Math (must include Algebra 2) 4 - CREDITS Science (must include Biology) 3- CREDITS Social Studies (must include US History) 3- CREDITS World Language 2 - CREDITS Health .5 - CREDIT P.E. 1 - CREDIT Career Pathway 3 - CREDITS Electives 3.5 - CREDITS TOTAL 24 CREDITS

Promotion to the 11th grade 12 Credits Required to be Promoted! 2 English 2 Math 2 Science, or Social Studies, or World Language 6 Additional Credits Credits are earned when you pass a class with a D (60%) or higher! Ask for help from your teachers if you are struggling in any of your classes! Earn Additional Credits!: You can earn an elective credit by completing 90 hours of community service and a summer work credit by working 150 hours over the summer

Attendance Matters! If you go over 13 absences in a full-year course, you will not get your credit (even if you earn a passing grade)! Attending school everyday will help you be successful in all your classes!

Preparing for the Future Sophomore Year Grades are Important!!! Develop good study habits and ask for help when you need it! Colleges want to see that you challenged yourself and took rigorous courses. During course selection you will have an opportunity to sign up for Honors and AP Courses (Advanced Placement). Get Involved in Sports and Clubs!! It is important to be committed and involved in your high school community. PSAT/SAT Testing All students will take the PSAT in 10th, and 11th grade. The 10th grade PSAT will be on April 5th, 2017! You will take the School Day SAT in the spring of 11th Grade. You should create a College Board account at collegeboard.org. Once you create an account, write down your username and password so you don’t forget it!!! FREE practice tests and test prep are available at collegeboard.org and khanacademy.org

College Admissions Criteria Strength of High School Academic Program Grade Point Average (GPA) Class Rank SAT/ACT Scores Application Essay/Personal Statement Letters of Recommendation School and Community Activities Special Considerations (unique circumstances, talents, experiences) Do a college search at BigFuture.org!

Scholarship Opportunities for Delaware Students SEED Scholarship: Keep your GPA above 2.5 and you will be eligible for free college tuition at Del Tech or University of Delaware’s Associates of Arts Program. Inspire Scholarship: Keep your GPA above 2.75 and you will be eligible for free tuition at Delaware State University.
