HCS Juniors Identified as “High Scorers” based on the October 2015 PSAT Exam are Invited to Participate in PSAT Preparation Sessions HCS schools were notified of potential top scorers from the National Merit Corporation Prep provided by Appleton tutors Parent information meeting on Sept. 6, HHS FA, 6:00 p.m. Dates/Times: Sept. 10, 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: HHS Freshman Academy (Oct. 1 HJHS) Weeks 1-4 - Prep in Critical Reading, Writing and Math Week 5 – Practice PSAT exam Week 6 – Review and address commonly missed questions on the practice test; overview of National Merit process

HCS High School Students Have Access to ACT Preparation ACT prep classes at each high school Teachers received summer training and will have two coaching days each semester Teachers have been trained to utilize Naviance ACT test prep Appleton will provide six ACT prep sessions at each high school prior to the October 2016 and April 2017 ACT exams (2 sessions per week for 3 weeks) Each high school student has access to Naviance ACT test prep Efforts to increase awareness of the ACT test include: Billboards HCS/School websites Schoolcast messages Naviance messages Email Edmodo groups
