Scholarships All Technical majors at ERAU Prescott are eligible All engineering majors, applied sciences, Software Engineering (In-College Only) AF critical majors (eligible for Type I): Computer + Electrical Eng, Meteorology, (Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Eng) Any Non-Tech Degree that can be finished in 4 years Non-Tech will only receive a Type 2 or 7 HSSP and Type 2 ICSP HSSP winners with 4 yr Type 7 scholarships have them converted to 3 yr Type 2 scholarships to enroll in ERAU. All majors are eligible but there is significant weight on the technical majors (Engineering, Space Physics, Meteorology) The Assurance Scholarship is a huge advantage for our HSSP winners, sometimes this sways a 3 yr Type 2 winner to attend ERAU.

Service Commitments When do I sign the contract with the Air Force and become “obligated”? Non-scholarship cadets: Day 1 of junior year In-College Scholarship cadets: Once you activate your scholarship “Freshman Option” (High School Scholarship Winners); may drop prior to Day 1 of sophomore year with no obligation/payback Commitments after Commissioning 10 years = Pilot (after 1 year of training) 6 years = Remote Piloted Aircraft/Combat Systems Operator (Navigator) / Air Battle Manager (after 1 year of training) 4 years = all other jobs (this includes any training time) We are still waiting to find out if the RPA commitment will be the same as a normal Pilot commitment.
