Homework Homework is due the following day or on posted date 10 pts. for homework on time 9 pts. for next day 8 pts. For following day… Grading will be done on a point scale Homework- 10 pts. Quizzes- 20-30 pts Tests- 40-60 pts. Projects- 20 pts. Every child will get a study guide before tests. Math homework will usually be Mon.-Thurs. Spelling- weekly Grammar-Tues. and Thurs. English Two Categories on report cards(English/Reading) Grammar-book, usually Tues/Thurs homework Spelling-book, workbook each night, tests on Fri. Writing-journal, writing assignments, cross curricular activities **Students will be learning how to write a research paper for Invention Convention

Reading Reading-Guided Reading-Jan Richardson’s G.R. Program Read novels together as class and finish work packet associated with that book Vocabulary-vocabulary from other subjects such as Sc/SS/Math AR- Each student is required to earn 20 pts per quarter AR will be averaged into their Reading grade(20 pts total)

Math Traditional Math vs. Singapore Math- Student can show work whichever way he/she feels comfortable Homework- Mon-Thurs, hopefully no homework on the weekends Students get time in class to start/finish homework Class- Go over homework, teach new lesson, classwork, homework
