Meet a Missionary Plan B

You are a missionary living in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.

Loggers and ranchers begin to illegally destroy the rainforest around you so that they can sell the forest’s natural resources.

What would you do?

The loggers and ranchers start to threaten you and your neighbours, wanting you leave the area. What would you do?

You decide to speak up on behalf of your home and protest against the destruction of the rainforest.

You get in touch with political leaders for their support, but they do not help. What would you do?

Because of your protests, you find out that your name is on a death list. The powerful ranchers want you out of the way. What would you do?

Sister Dorothy Stang was a missionary living in Brazil Sister Dorothy Stang was a missionary living in Brazil. She was an advocate for poor families being threatened and forced off their land. Despite death threats, Dorothy continued to stand up for justice. She was killed by a hired assassin in February 2005.
