Why are there child soldiers?

Children under 15 years old go to war

Places that make kids go to war India Syria Yemen Afghanistan Pakistan Russia

Countries where there are child soldiers

So far after a year 200 000 thousand children have died fighting for sierra

Problems There are an estimated 250,000 child soldiers in the world today. It is estimated that 40% of all child soldiers are girls. They are often used as non-combatant 'wives' (sex slaves) of the male combatants.

disappointments Children are sometimes forced to kill or maim a family member; breaking the bonds with their community and making it difficult for them to return.

How are child soldiers recruited? Some are abducted from their homes and forced to become soldiers. A village may be forced to provide a certain number of children as soldiers in exchange for staying safe from attack.

Myth busting Contrary to popular belief, a large proportion of child soldiers volunteer, or are volunteered by their family. This may be because the life of a child soldier appears preferable to the life they have (although they often don't realize what they are volunteering for).

What happens to these children Some children are under the age of 10 when they are forced to serve. Child soldiers are any children under the age of 18 who are recruited by a state or non-state armed group and used as fighters, cooks, suicide bombers, human shields, messengers, spies, or for sexual purposes.

This has been happening for more than 150 YEARS

WHAT ?   More than 300,000 children under 18 are fighting and dying in at least 30 conflicts worldwide.

Bad affects to kids War Child gives children in war-affected communities the chance to reclaim their childhood and break the cycle of poverty and violence.

MY thoughts of children going to war I think we should try to stop this problem I think every country should invest a little bit of money

Thank you for paying attention to my power point
