THE PUMPKIN The origin of carving pumpkins comes from the anecdote of jack'o'lantern, that was a drinker who was sitting down under an oak. One day met Satan to take it to him to the hell but Jack challenged him to climbing the tree and he won him and he put a cross to Satan in order that it could not descend . So, Jack did a treatment to him: it would allow him to go down if it was not returning for him. When Jack died they prohibited him the entry to the sky and to the hell for having been deceptive to Satan. Satan gave to him a lantern up to the Final Judgment.
