No need to install any separate tanks (except fuel) Must be installed inside a weather proof building/structure Requires 5 inches clearance from any wall 1 ft clearance is recommended behind the toilet in order to access the burn chamber clean out port Should not be installed or operated in an area where there is a risk of an accumulation of flammable vapors or dust The chimney has to be a minimum of 7 ft long The chimney can be vented out through the side wall using elbows

BASIC Series: Diagram & Features Separating Features: A major advantage with the Basic Series compared to other composting toilets is their separating feature. The liquid waste gets separated out from the bowl, which could be handled be in a few different ways: 1) It can be reused as a great fertilizer: simply collect the liquid waste in a container and add 8 parts of water to 1 part of liquid waste. 2) Guided in to an existing sewage line. 3) Guided into a drain pit (Check with your local authorities for any restrictions). How to build a drain pit: Dig a drain pit approx. 12" to 24" wide. Add about 24" or more of loose fill such as sand or crushed rocks below the drain pit. Add lime stone gravel inside the drain pit. Guide the waste hose towards the pit. Connect the hose to a PVC pipe and guide it into the center of the drain pit, ensure that the pipe will gravity feed the liquid waste into the pit. Next cover the top of the lime stone gravel with a plastic cover. On the plastic cover, add 2" of earth; then add another 6" to 10" of sand, soil and grass. Important: 50 ft away from any water source. Guided into a drain pit (Check with your local authorities for any restrictions).
