What are courts saying about it? NY: Deportations temporarily stopped because of the “risk of injury” to people returned to their home countries. Removal of refugees may “violate their rights to Due Process and Equal Protection guaranteed by the US Constitiution.” VA: Blocks removal of green-card holders. Orders officials to give lawyers access to people held by the ban. MA: Government can’t detain or remove” people who had arrived legally from the 7 countries.
