HONORS DIPLOMA (Class of 2020 and Beyond – aligning with the State of Ohio requirements) A. The student must meet the requirements for the standard diploma. B. Students need to fulfill all but one of the following criteria: a. Mathematics – 4 units, including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II or the equivalent and another higher level course or a four-year sequence of courses that contain equivalent content b. Science – 4 units, including physics and chemistry c. Social Studies – 4 units d. Foreign Language - 3 units (must include no less than 2 units for which credit is sought), i.e., 3 units of one language or 2 units each of two languages e. 3.5 on a 4.0 scale f. Students must have an ACT score of 27 or higher OR a combined test score on SAT Verbal and Math of 1210 12 hours of Christian/Community Service is required by all CCS students for Bible class each year for Standard and Honors Diploma.

GPA- Grade Point Average Each grade is assigned a numerical value, which is used to compute your Grade Point Average. For example, A = 4.0, B- = 3.0. Honors, AP Courses, and College Credit Plus Courses are all weighted. For example, A+ = 5.0, B- = 3.3. Class rank is based on a student’s cumulative GPA.
