S5 Individual interviews to discuss subject choice for S6 and university aspirations Form time research – universities, courses, a focus on interest beyond the curriculum The ‘S6 Futures’ conference runs in June. This is a major year group event which is specifically tailored to the needs of our pupils. The aim of the conference is preparation for S6 and the application to Higher Education or equivalent. S6 Sixth Year is unique due to the fact that: Pupils are allocated a specialist tutor who helps guide them through the UCAS process and the transition to university life. Tutor groups are small (between 3-5 pupils) to ensure a personalised approach. Every pupil is interviewed by the Depute with responsibility for CDHE prior to their UCAS form being sent. March 2017
