In View of God's Mercy (Romans 11:32-12:8) God has been merciful to us. He has added us into His family even though we did not deserve it. While we were still His enemies God sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, to take responsibility for us and to die for our sins. And in view of His mercy, Paul shows us three proper responses. First, he gives us the example of worship. Second, he calls us to have hearts, minds, and lives that are transformed for the sake of the Christ.
In View of God's Mercy (Romans 11:32-12:8) Third, he calls us to humbly use our gifts and vocations to serve God and to serve others. These are the holy responses of a people who have received the mercy of God.

#028 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing 1 Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above; Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, Mount of God’s unchanging love!
#028 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing 2 Here I find my greatest treasure, Hither by Thy help I’m come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood.
#028 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing 3 O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let that grace now, like a fetter, Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee. Prone wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above. Amen.
CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS P: In the name of the Father and the Son + and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 C: Amen
CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS P: Dear Saints, we gather here in the name of the Triune God, knowing that He is rich in mercy. His mercy has been shown to us through the life, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. And His Word teaches us that we should worship, live and serve in view of God’s mercy. We should keep His mercy at the forefront of all that we do and say together.
CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS P: His mercy is the heart of our life as His people. And so today, we come in view of His mercy. We come confessing our sins, and calling upon Him to show us His mercy and to forgive us, so that by His mercy we can walk in His ways and give glory to His holy name. (silence for personal confession)
P Most merciful God, C …we confess that we have sinned against You. We have not perfectly followed all of Your commands. We have failed to love You with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. We have failed, also, to love our neighbors as ourselves. We know that the wages of sin is death, but we come to You in view of Your mercy. We come knowing that You have sent Jesus Christ to have mercy on us. And so we call upon You to show us that mercy by forgiving us for the sake of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
P: Dear saints, Let us give thanks to the Lord for His great mercy! He has had mercy on you and has sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you. And for His sake, God forgives the sins of all who look to Him in faith. I therefore declare God’s grace to you and announce that upon this, your confession, and according to your faith in Christ, all of your sins are forgiven, in the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen!
PRAYER OF THE DAY(今日祷告) P: Let us pray: Almighty God, to know You is to have everlasting life. Grant us to also know Your Son, Jesus, to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may boldly confess Him to be the Christ and steadfastly walk in the way that leads to eternal life; this we pray through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. C: Amen.

19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ. A: This is the word of the Lord C: Thanks be to God
Pastor Shaun Daugherty SERMON 讲道 In View of God's Mercy Pastor Shaun Daugherty
# 327 A Mighty Fortress is our God 1 A mighty Fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing; Our helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe; His craft and pow’r are great, And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal.
# 327 A Mighty Fortress is our God 2 Did we in our own strength confide, Our striving would be losing, Were not the right man on our side, The man of God’s own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He; Lord Sabaoth His name. From age to age the same, And He must win the battle.
# 327 A Mighty Fortress is our God 3 And though this world, with devils filled, Should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, For lo, his doom is sure: One little word shall fell him.
# 327 A Mighty Fortress is our God 4 That word above all earthly pow’rs, No thanks to them, abideth; The Spirit and the gifts are ours Through Him who with us sideth. Let goods and kindred go, This mortal life also; The body they may kill, God’s truth abideth still; His kingdom is forever. Amen.
APOSTLES' CREED I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. 我信上帝,全能的父,创造天地的主。 我信耶稣基督,上帝的独生子,我们的主,因着圣灵成孕,从童女马利亚所生,在本丢彼拉多手下遇难,被钉在十字架上,死了,葬了。下到地狱。
APOSTLES' CREED He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. 第三天从死人里复活。后升天,坐在无所不能的父上帝的右边。将来必从那里降临,审判活人、死人。
APOSTLES' CREED I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. 我信圣灵,一圣基督教会,圣徒一体相通,罪得赦免、肉身复活、并且永生。阿们。
