But we are basically talking about, as you might expect, at least half the population of the world. In most developed countries it’s 51%. But in countries such as India and China, where boy babies are preferred and babies may be aborted or poorly fed just because they are female, there are 120 boy babies for every 100 girls.

Why all the drama? (Photo Comms image index - drama club in Ethiopia 2010) Phil – Tom has found some better photos for this that look a bit more like action going on. 2 photos – I thought one could be spliced to make it look more dramatic? These young people in Ethiopia are in a drama group supported by Womankind. Their drama helps people, including schoolchildren, understand why violence against women and girls is harmful to women and damages the whole of society.
