Entry Plan Goals Goals Actions Goal 1: Create relationships with the stakeholders in the school community to minimize potential disruption caused by a change in administrative leadership and promote a positive learning and working environment. Meet with teams and individuals of the school community to determine how I can best support our goals for the school. Goal 2: To identify the areas of need that impact student achievement and provide the necessary support systems for improvement. Provide support in the form of Professional Development, resources, walkthrough feedback, and instructional coaching. Goal 3: To build trust within the school community to be an effective leader. Listen and learn from all stakeholders, create surveys for feedback, and meetings to determine progress of goals. :

Survey Questions for Staff (will be sent out) · What basic beliefs and values do you have that drive the work that you do? · What makes Elon a great school? · What needs my immediate attention? · What expectations and advice do you have for me as the principal? · Is there anything else you would like me to know?

Survey Questions for Parents (will be sent out) Please tell me the strengths of Elon Park Elementary. Are there any weaknesses that I should be aware of? As parents, what do you perceive needs my immediate attention? What expectations and advice do you have for me as the principal? Is there anything else you would like for me to know?

Results and Findings Details will be held in confidence A summary will be shared at the April 18, 2017 SLT meeting

CMS Student Assignment Plan Update * Phase I of the Comprehensive Student Assignment Review focused on choice and expanding access to our menu of magnet and theme-based programs and schools. This is being implemented now for the 2017-2018 school year. * Phase II of the Comprehensive Student Assignment Review will focus on evaluating current home school attendance boundaries and school feeder patterns to determine if they support the Board’s goals and guiding principles for the student assignment review. * Hearing the voices of our students, families and community is an important part of the process.

CMS Student Assignment Plan Update * CMS will hold a series of community engagement meetings in January and February, where students, families, staff and community members can help inform possible criteria to be used to evaluate current boundaries and feeder patterns. * No specific maps or boundary changes will be discussed at these sessions. The sole goal of these sessions is to discuss possible criteria to be used to assess current school boundaries and feeder patterns for alignment to the Board’s goals and guiding principles for student assignment. Meeting Date: Jan 26, 7:00-8:30 pm Location: Ardrey Kell High Feeder Pattern: Ardrey Kell, Providence
