SECTION 3.7 ESV
MAIN IDEA Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith. When we understand who He is, we learn how utterly helpless we are on our own. We can choose to accept the gift of salvation through Him and can then learn how to live a life of love and grace to others by following Christ’s example. ESV
MEMORY VERSES HEBREWS 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. ESV
MEMORY VERSES JOHN 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ESV
MEMORY VERSES 1 PETER 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteous-ness. By His wounds you have been healed. ESV
MEMORY VERSES 1 CORINTHIANS 15:19-20 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. ESV
MEMORY VERSES EPHESIANS 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ESV
MEMORY VERSES 1 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus. ESV
