June 19, 1623 Born in Clermont- Ferrand, France Son of Etienne Pascal Mother passes away in 1626

1631 Father decided to move all children to Paris 2 sister Gillberte Jacqueline Only son Blaise starts to show interest in mathematics.

1635 Close to his early teen years he shows special interest in Geometry Father did not want to teach mathematics, but did buy a book which would help Pascal learn Geometry. Started at a Mathematical Academy

1637 Marin Mersenne He would host meetings to review the research of scientist and mathematicians. Blaise attended these meetings with his father

1639 Marin Mersenne His father was appointed tax collector Attended meetings for 2 years. Projective Geometry was presented by Pascal His father was appointed tax collector Rouen Sisters act in plays
