Promoting Student Chapter Growth Conduct a membership campaign partnered with VP – Public Relations Give informative presentations about APICS to business classes Attend high school career days within our community

Points Breakout VP - Membership

Public Relations Alyssa Perugini VP- Public Relations

What is Public Relations? “The actions of a corporation, store, government, individual, etc., in promoting goodwill between itself and the public, the community, employees, customers, etc.” http://www.dictionary.com/browse/public-relations?s=t

What our goals actually are: Internal communication- I would be the one to communicate within Parkside by sending out mass emails giving notifications on when meetings would be and also have that be apart of the newsletter Media relations- is basically getting the word out about APICS in anyway through the media. Event planning- I would contact people to set up events with them but then programs and events would take over, I basically would be the face of it. Crisis communication- if there ever were to be a problem or our reputation was at stake, I would be the one to handle it Community relations- getting in touch with the commuity, so this could be through volunteer work (like homeless shelters, Red Cross blood drive, big brother/big sister, etc) ALSO getting in contact with local businesses to visit Reputation management- Keeping a good image, simple as that. So make APICS look the best of the best. Digital/new media- Make sure people have easy access to newsletters, and any type of digital content. Keep people updated.

How to Exceed Each Goal External Relations Within the first year contact at least 10 local industries and at least 5 volunteer programs: Reach out by calling/emailing/meeting in person Follow up Schedule for the next year to visit Send a thank you  Ideally contact up to 20 local industries and 10 volunteer programs It may seem like a lot to contact but each company we contact does not mean they will follow through, that is why we should contact so many companies.

How to Exceed Each Goal Internal Relations Grow presence at R.O.A.R and local high schools At least 2 members of the board go and represent APICS Post at least 3 news articles a week on campus connect Articles will be on logistics management, supply chain management, APICS, etc. Advertise Flyers on bulletin boards, paint on windows, bridge tables By doing this contact creative services at least 72 hours in advance Reserve windows and tables on VEMS Send out mass e-mails Send newsletters and notifications to when and where APICS meetings will be through ranger mail Who ever signs up with APCIS on campus connect, maybe send them a personal email saying thanks for coming and if they have any questions about anything email us! Instead of just sending out emails make it personal to exceed the goal?
