The Olympic Games began in ancient Greece The Olympic Games began in ancient Greece. Greek games took place every 4 year. The original Olympics included competition in music, oratory, and theatre performances as well.

The earliest record of the Olympic Games goes back to 776 BC, but historians think that the Games began well before then. The ancient Games were held in honour of Zeus, the most important god for ancient Greek.

Zeus, the Greek - the supreme god of the Greeks, the father and the king of all gods. Zeus has the same name Dy, head of the Olympic family of gods.
