Volunteer Points Program Team Requirement: In order to advance in Regional Playoffs, a team must have accumulated 11 of a possible 15 volunteer points during the course of the season. All teams that fall short of the 11 point minimum will have no opportunity to advance to the second round, regardless of record or outcome of first round playoff match.

Volunteer Points Program TEAMS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MATCH EACH WEEK Teams with the first match of the day will assist with the setup of the board and referee tents. Teams may then proceed to their assigned field for setup. Each team, home and visitor, will be responsible for the painting of half of their assigned field and the setup of one goal. Field setup must be completed prior to kick off in order for point to be awarded. The field set up this year will likely occur on the night before the games (Friday evenings) Each team, home and visitor, will nominate a field monitor for their touchline. That person will report to the board tent prior to kick off and collect the water tote which corresponds to their touch line (Example: Home team on field 5 will collect the tote marked “H5”). Field monitors are free to enjoy their own child’s match as long as they monitor the activities taking place, offer water to the referee crew at breaks, and alert the Board of any possible issues. At the conclusion of the match teams are required to clean up any trash on their touch line, to return the water tote to the tent, or to hand off the water tote to the next field monitor. Field monitor must be in place prior to kick off in order for point to be awarded. Teams with the last match of the day will assist with the tear down of board and ref tents, as well as the tear down of one goal per team on their assigned field. Teams who have tear down or set up must also supply a field monitor. One point per week will automatically be awarded to all teams who fulfill these duties. Teams who fail to complete any of their game day tasks will not be awarded a point.

Volunteer Points Program Teams will be rewarded for participating in Regional programs that benefit their team. One point will be given for each of the following items: Attendance at Coaches Meeting Attendance at Team Parent/Coordinator Meeting Assisting at the Information Tents on Game Days Participation in the Golden Boot fundraiser Supplying volunteers for Opening Day or Picture Day Completion of Player Ratings by deadline   THERE WILL BE NO OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE UP POINTS ONCE THEY ARE MISSED!!

Sportsmanship Points Program Teams are graded in the following categories for each match: Cooperation of Players 2 points Uniform Compliance 2 points Cooperation of Coaches 2 points Cooperation of Spectators 2 points Courtesy to Officials 2 points Please refer to Region 678 Rules and Policies (U10-U14) for additional information

Sportsmanship Points Program Teams begin each weekend with 10 sportsmanship points Poor sportsmanship will result in the loss of points Points are included in a teams overall standing and playoff seeding Points may also be lost by teams who do not complete appropriate training MOST TEAMS WILL NEVER LOSE A SPORTSMANSHIP POINT
