SITA & Free State DBE DBE Free State Province obtained the highest pass-rate in the country for the 2016 Matric Examinations SITA through its CSR partnering with the Free State Province by establishing ICT Laboratories for Five (5) identified High Schools in the township/rural communities Key benefits include: Skills Development – Introduction to the ICT field for ICT skills with emphasis on systems development for economic competitiveness and social alleviation Unearthing Talent – A platform for learners to unleash the potential and express the talent they have in the ICT field, thereby practically contributing to the ICT skills pipeline Encouraging Innovation – A platform for learners and communities to collaborate and stimulate innovation becoming active participants on finding remedies to the country’s socio-economic challenges Stimulate Economy – An opportunity for learners and communities to be attractive to the employment market and/or to have an edge for pursuing entrepreneurship/self-employment ambitions

Progress Concept endorsed and signed-off by the Honourable MEC of Education in Free State Five (5) schools identified by the Honourable MEC Programme Steering Committee constituted Site visits to the identified schools scheduled for the 23rd, 24th, and 25th May 2017.

SITA Corporate Benefits Contribution towards SITA’s Small Micro Medium Enterprise enablement, which is a corporate objective Contribute towards SITA’s corporate objectives, also towards SITA’s learning and development initiative Candidates furthering their tertiary studies will on completion form part of the SITA staff contributing towards SITA’s corporate objectives. These ICT professionals can also be made available to other parastatals and organs of state.
