SHRM RECERTIFICATION PROVIDERS Helpful Tips Ensure SHRM works diligently with Recertification Providers unable to meet the requirements of the Verification Process past the 30-day deadline Avoid Bottlenecks PDCs allocated for programs at least 1 hour long e.g. a 45-minute program with 15 minutes Q&A = 1 hour (1 PDC). Do not set a date range for recurring live/in-person programs such as seminars, conferences, and instructor-led eLearning PDCs increment = quarter (15 minutes) only after 1 hour (e.g., 1.25, 1.5, 1.75) Distributing Activity IDs way before programs start PDCs are not calculated for time spent during breaks, meals, networking, welcome, instruction, exhibit hall, etc. Lack of documentation (invalid, missing, none) Set date range for the start-end dates for recurring self-paced/directed programs
