What student data can I share? Directory Information: Name, address, telephone listing, electronic mail address, date and place of birth, dates of attendance, and grade level; Participation in activities and sports; Weight and height of members of athletic teams; Degrees, honors, and awards received; and The most recent school attended. FERPA defines "directory information" as information contained in a student's education record that would not be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed.

Internet filter We have iBoss internet filtering in place. If an educational site is blocked, let me know and I can probably unblock it.

Internet safety lessons At some point this school year, the district curriculum director or your school’s curriculum coach will let you know it’s time to incorporate your internet safety lesson. It doesn’t have to be a long in depth lesson, but it does have to be presented to your students. And the plans for that lesson will have to copied and placed in a CIPA binder in your schools front office.

Do no give the guest password to students. Do not download or stream movies and music. If 10 teachers are downloading the latest movie that could slow the network down and make it impossible for another teacher to stream an educational documentary.
