Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women The U.S. is 1 of 6 countries yet to ratify-pass the international treaty for women called CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women). The other 5 countries are developing countries including Iran and Somalia. A nation-wide effort is in affect at the grass roots level of every city called Cities for CEDAW. Please sign up your Non-profit, Business or institution in support of the Colorado for CEDAW Task Force. See the Colorado Task Force Website at: http://www.cedaw-colorado.org. Email: Sharon Simmons at SSimmons@BPWColorado.org with your logo and mission statement. There is still inequality in the United States. See the recent documentary film about U.S. Women called, “Equal Means Equal.” We are also looking for volunteers to work with us on building our Task Force. If you want to volunteer-please contact Sharon. Please CONTACT your local State Senators and URGE them to support full funding for the United Nations (UN)!!!
