Supplier Diversity At Purdue Mission Statement: Provide leadership and develop relationships that will result in Purdue’s campus’ supplier base reflecting the minority and women business profile of their region. Overview: In 2005 Purdue University took steps to enhance their supplier diversity activities and recruited a well known small diverse business advocate to lead their efforts to increase the contracts awarded to Indiana women and minority businesses. The success of the Supplier Diversity program depends on: Identifying qualified and certified M/WBE’s Insuring that timely, accurate information on opportunities at Purdue is available to those M/WBE’s, Assisting Purdue staff who have procurement and contracting authority are able to source qualified M/WBE firms.
