Supplier Diversity At Purdue Mission Statement: Provide leadership and develop relationships that will result in Purdue’s campus’ supplier base reflecting the minority and women business profile of their region. Overview: In 2005 Purdue University took steps to enhance their supplier diversity activities and recruited a well known small diverse business advocate to lead their efforts to increase the contracts awarded to Indiana women and minority businesses. The success of the Supplier Diversity program depends on: Identifying qualified and certified M/WBE’s Insuring that timely, accurate information on opportunities at Purdue is available to those M/WBE’s, Assisting Purdue staff who have procurement and contracting authority are able to source qualified M/WBE firms. Major Activities and Initiatives: - Purdue ACCESS Program - Supplier Diversity Development Advocacy Council - Construction Connection - Relationships to Partnership Conference (Nov. 17, 2017) - Supplier Diversity Development Coalition of Greater Lafayette

Doing Business at Purdue Physical Facilities www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities Procurement Services www.purdue.edu/business/procurement The following units comprise or support Physical Facilities: Capital Program Management Asset Management Buildings and Grounds Communications Energy and Utilities Physical Facilities Fiscal Affairs Physical Facilities Human Resources Procurement Services is engaged in the following activities: Source large dollar purchases for risk mitigation, compliance, and cost savings Draft contract language, negotiate terms, and facilitate contract dispute resolution between the University and suppliers Manage supplier relationships Maintain a robust procurement system for ordering, receiving, and invoicing Provide travel and expense reimbursement services Manage system-wide p-card activity Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and promptly

Capital Program Management Capital Program Management collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, and other service providers to meet the needs of the campus community.  Resources: The Consultant’s Handbook This publication, was designed as a concise and easily referenced handbook to outline the administrative and technical nuances involved in providing professional services to Purdue University. ePlanroom The ePlanroom system contains bid documents and reports for all Purdue University campuses, including current, future and archived projects since September 2016. Within each project are additional options such as viewing/ordering documents or viewing the advertisement for bid and bid results.
