APA Help Guide

APA Rules Citations Reference Page 4. Italicize titles of longer works such as books and journals. 5. Do not italicize, underline, or put quotes around the titles of shorter works such as journal articles or essays in edited collections. Authors names are inverted. (Last, First) Journal Title should be in full. All punctuation and Capitalization of the Journal title should be kept. Capitalize all major words in the journal title. Capitalize only the first letter of the first word of a title and subtitle. Books, chapters, articles, or Web pages the first word after a colon or a dash in the title Proper nouns Reference Page Use hanging indention for each Reference. Should be alphabetized and in chronological order if an author is listed more than once.
