Is a certificate the same as being certified? In the human resources field, NO. What’s the difference? A certificate is similar to a diploma – it is evidence that you have completed a series of courses Certification requires continuing education to maintain the designation For example, once you get your bachelor’s degree, you do not have to keep taking classes in order to keep it.
