Senior High School Graduates

SHS Curriculum Subjects Core Subjects (15) These are subjects that all SHS students will take. These core subjects are under the following learnings areas: Language, Humanities, Communication, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Philosophy, and PE and Health subjects. Applied (Contextualized) Track Subjects (7) These are subjects that develop the same competencies using different content based on the chosen track or strand. Specialized Track Subjects (9) These are sets of subjects based on specific specializations. The content and competencies they cover differ based on the the chosen track or strand.

SHS (Grades 11 and 12) will have 31 80-hour subjects. 15 Core Subjects 16 Track Subjects 7 Contextualized 9 Specialization

DepEd SHS Voucher Program For Grade 10 JHS Completers who want to pursue SHS education in a private high school, college or university; LUCs, SUCs; and Tech-Voc schools given permission to offer SHS Enables students a discount or deduction from the cost of tuition and other fees in the prospective accepting SHS Disbursed by DepEd to the prospective accepting SHS

Automatic Recipients JHS completers from public schools will receive 100% of the voucher amount JHS completers who are grantees from Education Service Contracting (ESC) private schools will receive 80% of the voucher amount Note: They do not need to apply for a SHS Voucher.

Recipients pending Review and Approval JHS completers who are not ESC grantees from private schools will receive 80% of the voucher amount.

Value of the Voucher The Value of the Voucher depends on: Location of the SHS Type of Voucher Recipient

Voucher Recipients Public Grade 10 Students get 100% of the voucher value Private Grade 10 Students who are ESC grantees get 80% of the voucher value Private Grade 10 completers who are not ESC grantees may also apply for vouchers worth 80% of the full voucher value Whether you’re a Grade 10 completer from a public High School or a Grade 10 completer from a private Junior High School, you get 50% of the voucher value if you enroll in a local or state college or university. www.deped.gov.ph/k-to-12

Application Procedure 1. Fill out and download forms and confirmation slip from Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP): http://ovap.deped.gov.ph 2. Submit filled out form, confirmation slip, and supporting documents to PEAC National Secretariat for online application. 3. List of Qualified Voucher Recipients (QVR) will be posted on OVAP.

Application Procedure 4. Download and print QVR certificates and present this upon enrolment. For other details re exact amounts of vouchers and dates of submission, please get in touch with Admissions Office.

Required Documents for SHS Voucher Application 1. Two ID photos (2x2) 2. Certification of Financial Assistance from the JHS (students under a scholarship program) 3. Certified Birth Certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) 4. Photocopy of latest Grade 10 Report Card 5. Certificate of Employment (if parent/guardian is employed) 6. Latest Income Tax Return or Certificate of Tax Exemption
