The Many Hands of the Caressant Care Family…

These Hands… Joined the Army During the Korean War and served our Country proudly. They are a proud member of the Legion. These Hands… Joined the Army at 18 and fought for our freedom during WWII. They held the hand of their true love for 60 years of marriage and raised a family of 7.

These Hands… Are members of the Palliative Care Team who respect that everyone’s final journey is unique as the person themselves. These Hands… Have provided over 100 years of dedicated service to the Residents of Caressant Care and their families.

These Hands… Provide up-beat motivation to keep residents physically active. These Hands… Were born in England and came to Canada at the age of 36. Taught dance with their husband in their 4 dance studios. Adopted 3 children into their family.

These Hands… Lived in Lindsay area all of her life. Worked at Eatons and at a Jewellers. Raised one son and one daughter These Hands… Were born and raised in Lindsay. Have been married to his loving wife for 60 years. Their favourite hobby has always been woodcarving.

These Hands… Together with her husband raised 5 children and opened their home to over 100 foster children. Were a volunteer in the community and dedicated member of her Church. These Hands… Were born in Lancanshire, England. They came to Canada on the Queen Mary after WWII. They raised 4 loving sons.

These Hands… Began as a volunteer in the Activity Department, worked as a Student Nurse Aide, and has just received her registration and is now working as an RPN These Hands… First visited Caressant Care as a young student in our Kids and Seniors Program. Later they worked as a PSW and now are working as a new RN.

These Hands… Have been married for 60 years. They raised a family of 3 children and are loving grandparents. These Hands… Represented Canada at the Special Olympics as an Athlete.

These Hands… Have been a part of the Caressant Care family over 30 years. They go above and beyond expectations and are extremely dedicated to the Caressant Care Family. These Hands… For 14 years have carefully prepared delicious homemade meals and tasty treats for our residents.

These Hands… Worked as a Conservation Officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources for over 30 years. They make friends where ever they go. These Hands… Trained as a Registered Nurse in Peterborough, raised a family of 4, worked beside their husband on their dairy farm and was active in their Church.

These Hands… Provide Spiritual comfort and prayer. These Hands… Look forward to weekly visits from our Therapy Dog Tess.
